Diversified Recruitment Services is currently seeking a Cost Accountant that will be responsible for overseeing, analyzing, and validating cost expenditures and track/report cost by customer for a growing manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage a consistent means for updating standard costs and develop a process for tracking/reporting gross margin by customer, SKU, and product line.
- Retrieve, report, and analyze cost and margin by customer, SKU, and product line.
- In-depth financial, cost, and margin analysis.
- Partners with operations in manufacturing, logistics, and procurement to understand financial inputs and provide guidance on operating decisions.
- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect product profitability
- Work with CI/process teams to drive continuous improvement
- Analyze and recommend cost and cost savings
- Monitor the inventory cycle count adjustments
- Prepare and complete internal cost audits according to GAAP
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of cost accounting work experience
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite
