Position Description: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design and documentation of the electromechanical systems, validating new componentry, updating schematics / panel layouts, PLC/Smart relay programming and ensuring designs are compliant with listing agency requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
▪Develop and document control system designs, software, and test procedures including wiring schematics and field instructions.
▪Collaborate with senior engineers to develop control systems and programs.
▪Conduct testing and debugging of control systems to ensure functionality and performance.
▪Support the troubleshooting and maintenance of existing control systems.
▪Train operations on building and testing systems for product changes/new product launches.
▪Work through ECR process to ensure all related documentation gets updated when component changes occur.
▪Look for and implement product / process improvements that make the systems easier to build and maintain. As well as evaluating new methods to reduce labor content in the products.
▪Experience in providing field support and participating in equipment testing and start-up.
▪Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in control technologies.
▪Work with the supply chain to find new componentry that meets the requirements of the application.
▪Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
▪Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
▪2D/3D CAD experience generating wiring schematics and panel layouts.
▪Experience with these PLC programing languages: Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Charts, Structured Text, Instruction List.
▪Willingness to learn new technologies and be able to teach operators how to build systems.
▪Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
▪Ability to manage time well with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
▪Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to get to root cause quickly.
▪Capable of functioning well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
▪Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
BSEE preferred but will consider other Engineering degrees or relevant experience.
Salary : $80,000 - $130,000
