Job Summary:
The Industrial Automation Specialist will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced control systems for various industrial processes. This position requires strong technical expertise in programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and configure PLCs, robots, and other automation devices to optimize production efficiency
- Design and implement custom control systems to meet specific production requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation equipment, including PLCs, robots, and sensors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation systems with existing infrastructure
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve automation capabilities
Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation, with expertise in PLC programming and robotics
- Proficiency in Siemens S7 programming and familiarity with Fanuc Robots and ABB robot operations
- Strong understanding of Ethernet cabling and addressing, Device Net, RIO, and wireless PC networking
- Knowledge of ladder logic programming, PLC 5, SLC500, ControlLogix, MicroLogix, RIO, Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet
- Ability to read electrical prints and perform electrical troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license required for business travel

- Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent Analytical Skills
- Ability to use RS Net Worx software, RS View Studio, and Panel Builder software
- Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis
