Key Responsibilities
- Support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Design and program new and existing PLC controls to optimize production processes.
- Program and troubleshoot robots to improve productivity and quality.
- Travel to sister plants as needed to provide support and maintain consistent project timelines.
- Collaborate with production and process teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes in programming or troubleshooting to address low cycle times and quality concerns.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for equipment to minimize downtime.
- Pursue opportunities to develop new technology and improve cycle times and quality detection/prevention systems.
- Train plant technicians and engineers on controls-related skills to enhance their capabilities.
- Work with plant teams to develop accurate quoting models for future projects.
