Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Safety Manager to join our team in Warrenton, VA as a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and contractors.
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to establish a culture of safety
- Design and implement effective safety programs, safety plans, and job hazard analyses (JHA)
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend solutions
- Lead safety meetings and training sessions to educate employees on safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Monitor safety compliance and report safety issues and progress to upper management
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate with department heads and project managers to integrate safety protocols into all aspects of operations
- Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and documentation as required by company policy and regulatory agencies
- Oversee the safety performance of subcontractors and contractors on-site
- Stay current with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, updating company policies accordingly
Qualifications
- OSHA 30 hour
- First Aid CPR
- Previous safety manager experience direct with General Contractor on data center builds
