JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Debug marine engine and genset electrical / electronic technical problems.
Manage software flash and verify for marine engine and genset.
Manage electronic automated check activities for gas engines.
Perform customer factory witness test demonstrations.
Perform engine ECM Wash and flashing.
Support NPI design reviews (design for manufacturing).
Support weekly marine engine and genset quality audits.
Support Quality Alerts / MESA for electrical Issues.
Support marine engine and genset NPI prototype, pilot, and production ramp up.
Rework harnesses if practical.
Troubleshoot fault codes on engines.
Troubleshoot software flash issues.
Aid in software validation of the marine engines.
Create and troubleshoot harnesses used for software update.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Associate’s degree with 4 years’ experience.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with 2-4 years’ experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Ability to troubleshoot and build harnesses.
Understand how sensors / actuators and other electronic components work.
Experience reading electrical schematics and harnesses.
Experience with engine electronic hardware validation or software development.
Ability to identify and categorize electronic, design, harness, and print issues.
DESIRED SKILLS :
Familiarity with Griffin Production processes.
Demonstrated ability to resolve manufacturing process defects.
Hands on electrical experience; simple circuit repair, harness construction and re-work, and dyno cell point to point troubleshooting.
Experience with PSPS, CTC Rules, CAT ET, Cadet and CANape.
Experience with 6S CPI Green Belt Lead projects.
Experience with datalinks : CDL, J1939 and Modbus.
Experience with Quality Tools : myCPI, PPRD, CAT-TOP, Warranty Watch List.
Good communication (PowerPoint, excel graphs, etc.), interpersonal and collaboration skills.
SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED :
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Ability to communicate effectively with factory workers, engineers as well as managers.
Document issues found in relevant tracking systems.
Good organizational skills.
Time management and ability to prioritize between multiple priorities.
