JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform gas engine proactive diagnostic analysis consisting of monitoring field diagnostics, identifying issues, defining action plans, and coordinating validation.
- NPI program Bill of Materials review with engine systems teams.
- NPI program CLEAR requirements follow up and coordination.
- Test, investigate issues, and execute a prioritized work list from lead engineers.
- Create test plans, execute test plans, document test results, and share/present test results.
- Work with lead engineers to define which field population of engines need proactive diagnostic analysis and define timing the analysis is needed.
- Create weekly diagnostic summaries and reports for all our active NPI programs.
- Review these reports with the technical team and lead engineers to define the next steps.
- Analyze field data, software logic, and calibrations to determine if changes are needed.
- Perform engine electronic bill of material review and cost, requirements follow up and coordination, as well as summarizing diagnostics for NPI programs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 0-2 years’ experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field.
- Data analysis and interpretation experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues due to test equipment, engineering tools, harnessing, and bench setups.
- Proficient in the use of lab test equipment familiarity (scopes, meters, power supplies, etc.), and relative experience with data analysis.
- Ability to create and execute electronic test plans related to Engine or Power System ECM (electronic control module), software, actuators, sensors, injectors, and harnessing.
