Senior Test Manager (Project Management)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes.
• Run scripts given and as they progress, be responsible for the development of scripts.
• Review and approve test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
• Review and approve testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
• Review documentation of software defects and assign software developers to investigate and resolve the issue.
• Review and approve test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance or completeness or to mitigate risks.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Lead adherence to testing methodologies and best practices and provide expertise and improvements in testing activities and processes.
• Effectively develop project Test Strategies encompassing all aspects of testing, including teams involved, types of testing required, reporting, communication, environments, defect management, and guidance on the testing tool.
• Oversee project testing processes and procedures in collaboration with Project Manager, monitor the productivity and ensure the successful execution of testing activities of project teams.
• Identify roadblocks or concerns with testing early and escalate as needed.
• Communicate to the project teams and project manager regarding deadlines and due dates for testing deliverables, assigning responsibilities, as well as monitoring and summarizing progress of testing activities.
• Prepare and present on test strategy overview, test progress and activities for stakeholders to demonstrate test readiness for testing events and obtain formal sign-off to officially close test events.
• Provide guidance to Project Manager on key testing deliverables and milestones to be added in Project Plan
• Demonstrate strong leadership on quality assurance within the team and assigned projects, providing excellent support and coaching.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field with 10 years’ experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Expert knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Expert knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Expert knowledge of computer development software, such as Microsoft Visual Basic, Linux, JavaScript, etc.
• Knowledge of effective quality assurance strategies and tactics.
• Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control testing activities, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve quality objectives.
• Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
