Diversified Sourcing Solutions is looking for a dynamic Diesel Heavy Equipment Service Technician for one of our clients in Southeast Houston. As a diesel heavy equipment service technician you will need to diagnose and repair excavators, skid steers, forklifts, etc.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, generators, and heavy machinery.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines.
Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret the results to offer suitable solutions.
Repair or replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts.
Test drive vehicles to ensure maintenance issues have been properly fixed.
Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
Skills and Qualifications :
Proficiency in using diagnostic software and equipment.
Strong understanding of diesel engine components and systems.
Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Training :
Technical training or certification in diesel engine repair.
On-the-job training and experience with diesel machinery.
Experience Requirements :
Experience with the specific types of machinery (excavators, forklifts, skid steers) is a MUST.
Proven experience as a Diesel Equipment Mechanic, with expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Strong technical skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation :
Salary ranges from $28 to $34 per hour, depending on experience.
- All employees must be prepared for a background check, 5 panel Drug screen and show proof of eligibility to work in the US.
