Industrial Electrical Engineer Manufacturing Job Description

Purpose of position :

Perform engineering duties in testing, troubleshooting, upgrading and setting up automated equipment. Responsible for installation, support, maintenance and repair of such equipment.

Essential Functions :

Improve efficiency and performance of all machines within the department to meet the goal of less than 2% downtime measured monthly.

Expectation is to provide a weekly report of performance within your department based on Micromain data.

Monitor the Preventative Maintenance Program within their department, submit changes to existing PM’s, and ensure ALL PM’s are properly performed based on manufacturer recommendations and lessons learned.

Review Micromain for maintenance performed during the previous 24 hours for accuracy of reporting. Verify with Team Leads and Technicians work that was performed and that it was properly documented with Micromain.

Work closely with the Production Manager and Team Leads for your assigned Department regarding the scheduling of maintenance, p.m.’s, and projects to accomplish as quickly and efficiently as the production and maintenance schedule allows.

Install, repair, replace, adjust, and align equipment and its components.

Test-run repaired machines to verify adequacy of repairs.

Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.

Install machine software to a variety of control platforms.

Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs.

Troubleshoot equipment based on program flow.

Confer with operators and observe, test, and evaluate operation of machinery to diagnose the cause of malfunction.

Communicate problems and solutions with Team lead and Maintenance Manager

Cooperatively work as a member of a team.

Qualifications :

Electrical 10 Years Experience

Controls Experience a strong Plus

Experience working with automated equipment

Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge

Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information

Ability to read and follow electrical and mechanical schematics

This position exists in a Climate Controlled indoor shop environment. Position is exposed to loud noises on occasion. Employees are occasionally exposed to potential hazards while testing / installing equipment.

Compensation : $90K - $100K Plus a Lucrative Monthly Profit-Sharing Bonus as well as Outstanding Benefits
