Diversified Sourcing Solutions is looking for an experienced Maintenance and Facilities Director. As the Maintenance and Facilities Director, you would be overseeing 1 maintenance technician and 1 maintenance assistant.
Job Overview : The Maintenance and Facilities Director serves as the company’s primary expert on machinery and facility operations. The Director plays a key role in aligning maintenance activities with the goals and directives of the Vice President of Manufacturing, ensuring a highly productive, safe, and efficient operation. This position has a significant and visible impact within the company.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for machinery, equipment, and facilities.
Regularly update and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
Oversee the operational status of all production machines, performing regular inspections, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs as necessary.
Maintain detailed maintenance records, documenting equipment history and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Lead and manage the maintenance team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
Optimize inventory management, maintaining the ideal balance between excess and shortage.
Work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Coordinate with third-party contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks.
Provide problem-solving expertise and drive continuous improvements in maintenance operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on motivating teams and decision-making.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient in time management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
Expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking maintenance logs and scheduling repairs.
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.).
Hands-on experience in machine and preventative maintenance.
Clear understanding of the production cycle and its impact on maintenance operations.
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in maintenance and facilities management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing maintenance activities in a manufacturing setting.
Strong background in procedure development, quality implementation, and organizational skills.
Experience in managing complex operations across multiple manufacturing units and understanding the chain of command.
Abilities and Judgement :
Strong project management, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Must be a self-starter and a collaborative team player with a strong work ethic.
Additional Requirements :
Occasional out-of-hours work, including evenings and public holidays, may be required to meet operational needs.
Compensation :
Salary ranges from $60K to $70K, depending on experience.
