Description
DSI is searching for a Service Desk resource to manage IT Asset Inventory.
Responsibilities
Process all equipment coming into or leaving IT.
Update Asset Inventory System.
Process Salvage equipment (removing the hard drives, doing entire process).
Unpacking and packing boxes for equipment and preparing it for shipment.
Pickup and Deliver equipment from Client/Excel/DTS/ETC.
Complete any Service Now tickets on equipment requests (ie monitors, keyboards, mice, HDMI cables, etc.).
Reconcile all Inventory sheets (paper/electronic) on daily basis.
Validate all of the IT Operations Room equipment weekly to ensure inventory is up to date and correct.
Serves as backup contact for level 1 support.
Requirements
1-3 years IT Experience.
Education in IT Support.
Strong communication/ leadership skills.
Strong influence, collaboration and negotiation experience.
Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines.
Have excellent oral and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session facilitation skills.
Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
Have strong understanding of prioritization stemming from the elicitation of system and/or user requirements.
Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably using the English language.
Preferred Skills
Inventory Management experience.
