The Director of Operations is primarily responsible for ensuring program processes are followed; identifying, analyzing, and reporting meaningful program metrics; and performing contract administration. The Director of Operations works closely with contracting officers, project managers, and project employees to ensure successful project execution and favorable customer ratings.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for overall management and compliance of processes as defined in the company's operations manual
Responsible for identification, management, analysis, and reporting of all company metricsResponsible for leading all quality assurance appraisalsResponsible for managing the company's risk management programProject Management :Oversees all project financials with assistance of the accounting department and reports project information to the executive management team
Ensures customer satisfaction by tracking project deliverables to include staffing metricsLeads the monthly project management reviewsMaintains all reports and logs depicting overall project healthRecommends and approves necessary training programs for projects and its staffManages contracts, contract modifications, subcontractor task orders, subcontractor task order modifications, and other contract-related activitiesConducts project personnel assessments and evaluationsWorks with human resources on employee recognition and, when necessary, corrective action activitiesBusiness Development :Works with the Business Development team as needed by reviewing and assessing opportunities, participating in the bid / no-bid decisions, providing proposal content and review, and pricing support
Attends networking and Business Development events as neededOther Duties :Serves as the Assistant Facility Security Officer
Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company's operation.Interact regularly with Executive Team and individual department heads to ensure that company's operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.Oversee the company's quality assurance program to ensure compliance with the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) requirements; Responsible for leading the tri-annual CMMI AppraisalResponsible for the management of special projects assigned by the Executive Management Team.Skills & Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years' experience in a management role in the federal government contracting field.Outstanding management skillsDemonstrated leadershipAbility to solve problemsAbility to translate policies into daily routine operationsInterpersonal and Leadership skills. These skills include providing direction, communicating, assisting with problem solving, and dealing effectively with employeesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersExcellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Project, Word, Excel and Outlook)Ability to work in-person at least three days a weekSome travel requiredDesired :
