Required skills: DB2 DBA, Hands on experience on Query Tuning and optimization. 3 years of experience with DB2 SQL development and DB2 administration Experienced in supporting very large, complex automated systems using both custom and off-the-shelf enterprise and business applications. Proficiency in writing SQL procedures, functions and packages for administration and application support and experience with Q replication, Range partitioned tables, Hash partitioned tables, Replicated MQT and MDC
Experience providing appropriate Database Performance tuning support with regards to storage I/O, buffer pools, query access plan assessment and creation of required database structures including indexes
Should have strong UNIX platform skills and understanding of network, storage, tiered application environments and security
Experience in HADR/Q-Replication Configuration
Good interpersonal skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills
Must be self-driven and a team player with a solid work ethic Responsibilities: Provides problem resolution support, specific to database issues; identifies and resolves database problems, coordinating with application users to determine symptoms and ensure accurate problem definition assists in development and improvement of database administration.
