What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waterproofing Project Manager position at Diversified Thermal & Moisture Protection, LLC?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resources
- Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness
- Coordinate project teams and assign tasks
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise
- Implement earned value management techniques to track project performance
- Handle project documentation using tools like SharePoint and other software
- Resolve conflicts within the project team
- Preparing and managing submittals.
- Ensuring timely completion of projects to build client trust while avoiding penalties.
- Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting expenses.
- Billing of projects in coordination with the billing department.
- Attendance of on-site project meetings.
- Managing material orders.
- Manage and coordinate with labor force.
- Quality control of labor and materials.
- Organizing and submitting closeout documents.
- Managing RFI’s, change orders, and owner direct purchase.
- Collaborating with the estimators to ensure the project stays within the scope of work.
- Collaborating with the field superintendents and job foreman to create schedules.
- Other related duties as assigned and considered reasonable by management.In addition, you are an acting local representative for Diversified Thermal & Moisture Protection LLC in the Austin & San Antonio markets. You must always conduct yourself in a professional manner. You must be sure all deadlines and/or meeting times are met as expected. While the work hours for this position are standard, you will need to be available by phone during off hours for coordination and/or emergency purposes.
Experience
- 2 year minimum experience in Waterproofing desired but not required.
- 3 year minimum Construction experience required if Waterproofing experience is not available.
Skills
- Familiarity with Procore, Textura and other CM software or related applications
- Ability to learn quickly
- Proficiency in SharePoint usage
- Experience in contract management
- Excellent time management skills
- Personable and able to handle conflict resolution in an appropriate manner
- Ablility to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to price documents and/or understanding of how items are constructed/assembled
- Bilingual preferred but not required
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
