What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Program Director- Intense Behavioral Health Services position at Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers?
The Clinical Program Director for the IBHS programs (including CSBBH and ARRTS) is the leader of the treatment environment and is responsible for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of all aspects of the programs’ needs within the therapeutic milieu.
Duties include supervision of all program staff, oversight of all clinical assessment/treatment planning processes, consultation with professional and program staff, collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to provide an atmosphere conducive to wellness, and to ensure programmatic goal attainment.
Salary: Starting at $75,000.00
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in a generally recognized clinical field such as counseling, psychology, social work, etc.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in the area of child/adolescent behavioral health care services.
- Clinical license required for all IBHS/Individual & Group services. BCBA preferred for the ABA programming oversight.
- Sufficient training and experience related to provision of clinical supervision and program development. Minimum two years of previous supervisory experience.
Duties:
- Oversight of all components of the therapeutic milieu; inclusive of assessment and treatment planning; individual, group, and family therapy sessions; program consultation; summer programming; and aftercare/discharge planning.
- Supervision of master’s level clinicians and bachelors level staff. Supervision and oversight duties include establishing treatment directions, overseeing the implementation of treatment strategies and interventions, ensuring staffing compliments and program coverage at sites, school, client homes, and the community. This includes the supervision of graduate and undergraduate interns when applicable.
- Collaboration with the Director of Clinical Quality, Director of Systems and Compliance and Human Resources Director, and Program clinicians in the hiring, supervising, training, and discharging of all employees of the programs.
- Provide and/or participate in staff training processes to maintain and enhance the professional development and clinical competence of the program clinicians and staff. Also, reviews and guides documentation practices surrounding records.
- Conduct and/or model specialized individual, group and/or family therapy sessions when necessary or as directed by the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, Director of Systems and Compliance, and/or the Director of Clinical Quality.
- Oversee all utilization of Ukeru and Emergency Safety Interventions with program clients and ensure appropriate training and qualifications of all staff implementing these techniques in the programs, if applicable where equipment may be present.
- Review of clinical documentation completion; including client medical records, self-medication administration records, clinical progress notes, evaluations/assessments, written orders, discharge summaries, etc.
- Continually assess clinical and operational functioning of the program and communicate plans for improvement to the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, Director of Systems and Compliance, the Director of Clinical Quality, and Program Supervisors. This includes directing program support staff such as clinical and/or site supervisors, and the administrative coordinator(s).
- Develop realistic goals on an annual basis for improving quality of care in relation to the clinical and operational needs of the program.
- Maintain and enhance professional development and competency through completion of appropriate continuing education and training opportunities.
