Job Purpose
The Summer Help position in the manufacturing facility is designed to provide temporary assistance in supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. The role will involve performing a variety of tasks, including sanding, staining, table assembly, cabinet assembly, packing, crating, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The position offers an opportunity for hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting and supports the overall productivity and success of the facility during peak periods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
Education: Highschool diploma or currently enrolled in high school, college, or a vocational school program.
Experience And/or Training
Technology/Equipment : Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP manufacturing software (2020 Insight).
Physical And Mental Demands
Standing for the working hours of each shift, 8 hours daily. Walking in the Production department to different areas of work. Speaking, hearing, seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools. Regularly lift 30-50 lbs. throughout shift. Team-lift as specified by leadership. Employees may perform tasks that require bending, twisting, and turning frequently.
Working Environment
Indoor working environment, hot in Summer, temperature controlled in Winter. Moving machinery, i.e., forklifts, moveable carts, etc. Uneven ground where cart tracks are identified. Air quality may be dusty and potentially require additional PPE in certain areas. Sound level below 85 decibels except in areas specified as requiring hearing protection.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use hand tools, power sanders, and other equipment to achieve a consistent finish.
- Assemble cabinets and tables.
- Assemble cabinets by attaching components such as doors, hinges, shelving, ensure alignment and secure.
- Perform routine checks on the assembly to meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Pack finished product to meet applicable packaging requirements for preventing damage in storage and while in transit.
- Label and organize items for shipment, ensuring proper documentation is included.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties such as cleaning work areas, maintaining tools, and ensuring the shop floor remains organized.
- Follow company policies and safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- Maintain a positive work environment by collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform other tasks or duties related to production as required by supervisors or team leaders.
- Work in a manner that contributes to a safe working environment.
- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills.
- Manage time efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Attention to detail, ensuring information is complete and accurate.
