What part will you play?
Under general direction, the Senior Field Engineer will oversee commissioning of large and complex AV systems at client sites to provide the optimal performance according to the scope and design intent through remote connections and mentoring the implementation team. Responsible for communication and coordination with the project team, advanced equipment configuration, and system troubleshooting.
What will you be doing?
Lead the commissioning effort of large and/or complex projects greater than $750k as the technical expert on site or remotely, providing training, support, and ongoing development of other FEs.
Implements and trains other field engineers and install technicians on how to implement system installations and commissioning according to the quality checklist.
Create, manage, and communicate on-site progress and roadblocks by aggregating team reports and passing them forward to PM and/or client regularly.
Support projects remotely, accessing and commission AV systems by utilizing local support personnel
Troubleshoot advanced technical issues by tracing signal flow and engaging the appropriate parties to assist in resolving the issue.
Configure AV network and coordinate client network.
Create and modify DSP files for complex divisible systems with an emphasis on AEC optimization for videoconferencing and coordinating control objects with programmer.
Contributes lessons learned feedback to the install, design, and pre-sales engineering teams to constantly improve system designs, product selection, and implementation.
Archive configuration and programming files with appropriate labeling to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the service team and adapt previous configurations for new projects to increase efficiency.
Maintain and grow certifications and technical knowledge.
What do we require from you?
Required Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, Bachelors Degree preferred
Able to concisely, consistently, and appropriately communicate with the project team
Able to manage multiple additional FEs and Install Techs on large sites; maintain overall project implementation status and reporting.
Able to troubleshoot complex AV and network systems from conference rooms to hybrid-live event spaces
Extensive familiarity with MTR and Zoom Rooms
Familiarity with broadcast or hybrid conference-live event systems

Audinate Dante Level 3
Biamp Tesira Server and QSC Q-Sys Level 2
Control certification from one or more of the following manufacturers: QSC, Extron, Crestron
Preferred Experience:
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
Self-starter and requires little direct oversight to perform tasks
Experience leading teams
Excellent customer service skills
Field installation and/or system design experience
Training small to medium sized groups on technical system operation
AVIXA CTS-D
Shure Integrated Systems and RF certifications
Work Environment:
Some office, mostly jobsite
Employee may spend most of the day on their feet moving around the jobsite. Must be able to occasionally lift at least 40lbs and be able to climb ladders and stairs. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth vision.
Work may be performed in an active construction site requiring appropriate PPE.
Travel:
Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required.
Employee must possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.
Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate.
Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times.
10% remote travel is required on a regular basis.
Salary : $92,800 - $141,800
