We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meat products, ensuring that all items meet our high standards for freshness and quality. This role requires attention to detail, excellent knife skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications.
• Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their meat selections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
• Keeping cold cuts and frozen goods stocked and presented in an organized manner.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes.

Skills

• Proficient in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of different cuts of meat.
• Excellent knife skills with attention to detail in presentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Previous experience in retail meat departments preffered, but not required.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
