Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Operations Team Captain is to eliminate barriers and prioritize work to ensure continuous and accurate flow through the operation. This role ensures a positive customer experience and progress toward operational targets throughout the assigned area of the distribution center.

Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Operations Team Captain is to eliminate barriers and prioritize work to ensure continuous and accurate flow through the operation. This role ensures a positive customer experience and progress toward operational targets throughout the assigned area of the distribution center.
Essential Duties
- Assists with the execution of orders within the distribution center.
- Analyzes and prioritizes work to maintain optimal efficiency and currency.
- Conducts thorough research of the operations to identify any discrepancies or issues that may impede progress.
- Troubleshoots and resolves operational challenges promptly and collaborates with team as needed.
- Ensures high accuracy and quality control throughout the operational processes.
- Recommends and implements best practices to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Reviews and documents errors found throughout the operations, communicating trends and training needs with supervisors.
- Collaborates with Operations and Inventory Control teams to ensure priorities are aligned.
- Communicates delays, issues, or deviations from standard operating procedures to the Lead or Supervisor immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 6 months – 1 year of experience in a distribution center environment with a strong understanding of warehouse operations
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow direction and manage multiple priorities based on management and customer requirements
- Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume work environment
- Proactive “self-starter” with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey feedback and provide recommendations to key stakeholders
