C++ Developer

Job Description:
As part of the retirement of an experienced C Developer in our US-based team, we are looking to replace him for a major project.

Project Scope:
We're working on a major C project in a Linux environment. Extensive and current expertise in C and Linux is essential for this assignment (applications without both will be rejected). Software development must be done on a Linux machine to be in the right condition (OS, libraries and dependencies). At present, the team is working on virtual machines which they use for development (Linux). The database is Informix, and its use remains fairly basic (adaptable SQL queries).

The mission is to recover the knowledge of the tool today on the module in C and to write technical specifications and evolutions following the modifications to be made. It will be essential to document the process as fully as possible.
The resource will also be working on maintenance and related developments (e.g. making the module multi-tenant, especially for laboratories with different identifiers).

Required Skillsets:
The project team is based in the USA (Minnesota), so a very good command of the language is essential, and adaptability to the time zone is preferable.

o Experience: Experienced C developer, proficiency in Linux and English, both written and spoken.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
