Duties & Responsibilities
§ Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustment of machines
§ Reviews and prepares production schedules and allocates manpower for completion of job assignment
§ Assign shift work assignments to Process Technicians, documenting all services such as mold changes, mold cleaning, and repairs during shift
§ Follow company procedures to monitor scrap, standards, productivity, and machine utilization
§ Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
§ Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
§ Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
§ Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
§ Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in resolving work problems
§ Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
§ Maintains time and production records
§ Confers with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
§ Occasionally performs activities of workers supervised
§ Consult with maintenance personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products
§ Ensure proper handover of production to following shift specialist
§ Troubleshoot processes as needed
§ Other duties may be required insuring that Diversity-Vuteq meets and exceeds our customer expectations and needs
Experience
§ Two year college or technical school; 3-5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
§ Proven leadership experience required
§ Previous production and Injection Molding experience required unless specifically waived by the Plant Manager based on work experience and demonstrated ability
Skills and Abilities
§ Ability to plan, organize, communicate, and motivate employees
§ Ability to prioritize workday schedule
§ Possess strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills
§ High level of focus and professionalism
§ Conflict resolution and problem solving skills
§ Ability to lift and carry 30lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally
§ Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 12 hours daily
§ May be required to do overhead work frequently
Other
§ High School Diploma or GED required
§ Two year college degree or technical school preferred
§ Valid Driver’s License
