What youll do:
The Plant Supervisor, reporting to a Plant Manager will be responsible for all functions at our industrial food waste processing facility in Albany, OR. Key responsibilities for this position include maintaining a productive culture based on respect, managing accountability to standard work processes, and effective communication within the facility and the company.
Please Note: this is NOT a remote position. this supervisor is required to be on site at the Albany plant and live in the area to be on site daily.
This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of operations to ensure a safe working environment and properly trained individuals in all aspects of safety compliance.
- As the operations leader, directly manage, hire and train Operators and Maintenance personnel.
- Oversee maintenance and reliability of machinery to ensure operational efficiencies and uptime.
- Develop, implement and report against financial and non-financial objectives, including the annual budget, financial forecasts, operational goals, key performance indicators and operating plans.
- Inspect all phases (mechanical, chemical, electrical) of plant operations and initiate remedial actions.
- Work closely with the team to drive continuous improvement and reliability to ensure plant goals are met.
- Monitor compliance with Company policies, Customer Agreements, quality specifications, sanitation practices, regulatory requirements, third party contracts and safety standards.
- Must maintain the ability to:
- Effectively communicate all significant actions and issues to Company management in a timely fashion
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
What were looking for:
- HS Diploma or GED required
- 3 years in an operations management role with hiring and people management required
- Proven track record of leading production/processing systems
- Possess the ability to work with ambiguity by asking thoughtful questions that provide data that is then analyzed and synthesized to make balanced assessments and smart decisions
- A clear communicator with professional presence
- Has strong listening skills; open to input from other team members and departments
