At Spectra, a Diverzify company, we believe our associates are at the heart of our organization. We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team. As a Warehouse Assistant, you are the backbone of our national branch locations. Your key responsibilities will be work involving receiving, storing, inventorying, assisting with general warehouse duties, and issuing materials and supplies for a central storage warehouse having a large volume of materials, supplies, and distribution activities. You will assist in compiling orders, replenishing, and moving merchandise, whether it be on the sales floor. Some tasks require some physical labor in the loading and unloading of goods received and to be delivered and on occasion, you may be asked to ride along on a delivery run and assist Work is routine and directed by established procedures with instructions provided for all assignments by the Warehouse Manager. Your day will be spent checking inventory and orders, and interacting with our sales team, branch operations managers, and occasionally some customers. If you are friendly, organized hard-working and someone who thrives in a warehouse environment, then this is the place for you.

Job Description
- Shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management
- Demonstrate and understand the compliance of the company’s safety processes.
- Receives material from vendors into the software system and maintains accurate inventory records
- Verifies incoming and outgoing product inventory transactions
- Inspects incoming product for damage
- Retrieves and tracks miscellaneous inventory or supplies
- Pulls correct items and quantity of product to fill customer orders
- Tags items with proper labels and stores according to the established retention system
- Loading and unloading deliveries to the warehouse
- Inventory management including cycle counts and ensuring all product going in or out of the facility is accounted for
- Operates forklift and other material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies, handcart, etc.)
- Uses forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and dollies to pull and put away materials
- Properly pull materials according to picking tickets by checking manufacture tags, and warehouse tags and using logic and problem-solving skills when a problem should arise
- Organize outbound material in proper staging areas
- Break down large pallets of material and restack material onto smaller pallets depending on if the project requires it
- Hand load trucks depending on the material being sent to a project (carpet rolls, carpet padding, etc.)
- Unload or provide support to fellow teammates in unloading various inbound shipments daily
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Cleans and maintains work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations and business standards
- High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent experience in a similar role).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Warehousing or Receiving function
- Must be able to regularly lift, carry, or move products weighing 50 pounds unassisted. Typically bends, stoops, and/or crouches on a regular basis from various heights to stock or remove products. Must be able to climb steps
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday between 7 am and 4 pm and have ability to work flexible hours with notice
- Basic PC skills with knowledge of MS Office Products preferred
