Title : EDI Developer
Location : Itasca, IL
Duration : 9-10 Months
Description :
You will be working on a large EDI technology migration project.
The source platform is OpenText EDI, and the target platform is IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
The project involves developing mapping requirements specifications, developing new EDI maps, communication profiles in the IBM EDI environment, and testing (unit, SIT, Trading Partner onboarding testing, etc.), and helping the new environment go live in production.
Given the large number of existing maps to be migrated to IBM platforms, we are also looking at innovative ways to convert the technical objects (EDI maps, Communication Profiles, etc.) such as automated map translation, automated testing, etc.
Responsibilities :
Understand the EDI solution architecture 'big picture' to help deliver the solution.
Learn a custom software add-on that accompanies IBM software (Eliassen.com).
Help create a non-production instance for the migration SDLC work.
Comprehend source EDI maps for reference during the new map development in IBM.
Develop complex, critical maps in the IBM environment.
Coach and direct the EDI Development Team in India.
Provide input / direction to R&D of innovative tools that can help automated code conversion, automated testing, etc.
Review EDI Dev code to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
Perform thorough Unit Testing using a prescribed testing tool(s), test scripts, and test data. Participate in testing activity and promptly fix defects.
Contribute to Go Live Planning and Go Live support.
Provide post-Go-Live Support.
Comply with DivIHN's Process Framework - CMMI, ISO 27001 standards.
Develop and maintain quality technical documentation.
Provide Knowledge Transfer to customers.
Requirements :
Must know IBM Sterling B2B Integrate Standard / Enterprise Edition
Must be familiar with as many EDI formats as possible from the list below : 110, 204, 210, 211, 212, 214, 215, 219, 250, 300, 301, 304, 310, 315, 810, 816, 820, 824, 850, 855, 856, 860, 864, 945, 990, 997
Must have worked on a minimum of ONE EDI technology migration project (not on EDI Implementation only)
