Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments, focused on electrical testing and prototyping.
- Develop and maintain record keeping for experiments performed.
- Makes detailed observations of tests, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Maintain medical device laboratory equipment and inventory level of laboratory supplies.
- Document summaries of testing and may write test protocols and reports.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities.
- Assigned routine assembly and testing portions of projects (e.g. product performance and software script testing).
- Support the prototyping and rework of medical devices, including mechanical and electrical activities.

Education and/or Experience:
- Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
- High School diploma or equivalent, AA degree is strongly preferred.
- BS or AS is preferred but HS is required
- 1 years experience in an electro-mechanical laboratory environment.
- BASIC computer skills
Preferred:
- B.S. in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with engineering tools and statistical software.
- Ability to understand technical schematics and statistical tools.
- Experience soldering.
- Experience with Oscilloscopes, DMMs, and other electrical laboratory equipment.
Top 3-5 Must-Have Non-negotiable Skills Required
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment working with electrical equipment
- Ability to convey detailed observations (verbal and written)
- Problem-solving skills
- Experience soldering electrical components onto PCBs
- Soldering skills 1 Year Minimum
- Electrical testing - 1 Year Minimum
- PCB 1 Year Minimum
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with electrical test equipment and measurements (Digital Multimeters, Power Supplies, etc).
- Experience with documentation in a quality (manufacturing or laboratory) environment
