About this position :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Controls and Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing data mapping, data quality management, metadata management, and master data management, as well as conducting in-depth data analysis to inform and progress our current and future data operating models. The Data Engineer will play a critical role in shaping our data architecture and ensuring the integrity and quality of our data assets.
On a day-to-day basis you will :
Develop, maintain, optimize, and document queries for data analysis and reporting tasks to ensure, reuse and meet stakeholder needs.
Identify and fix data issues (e.g., missing values, outliers, duplicates, inconsistencies) and clean and preprocess raw data for accuracy and consistency.
Using Excel and PeopleSoft to prepare, analyze, and transform data; conduct statistical analyses; and create reports to highlight trends and insights.
Communicate findings and insights clearly to both non-technical and technical stakeholders using tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Continuously monitor and implement data validation checks, manage data quality, metadata, and master data, and perform data mapping and analysis. Document findings, provide recommendations, and develop data architecture artifacts to enhance current and future data operating models.
Lift 40 lbs. during the day for product measurements and moving product about warehouse.
Attention to detail and ability to readily convert units of measure.
Education Requirements :
High school diploma or GED
Preferably, an associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Skills and Qualifications :
Proficiency in Excel and Visio.
Strong expertise in data analysis, data architecture, and data services development.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively collaborating with various stakeholders.
Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills with good problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications :
Experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP is preferred.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or PeopleSoft is a plus.
Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices is also beneficial.
Ability to qualify for driving a PIV (forklift)
