Title: Business Development Manager (BDM) – OEM
Location: REMOTE Role but we are seeking candidates from the Midwest preferably in IL, IN, OH, WI, and PA.
Travel: Must be willing to travel to Chicago, IL or Columbus, OH

Summary:
Our direct client, an Original Equipment Manufacturer is looking to hire a seasoned Business Development/Outside Sales Manager with strong experience/background in the Food Equipments MFG. sector. Candidates with a minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the Food Equipment MFG. vertical doing account management/business development/outside sales will be considered. There is a strong potential for career growth in this role and thus, the client is looking for some leadership qualities in the candidates. Candidates should have a strong engineering background, proven ability to work with the Product design team, read blue prints, prototypes, and mass-order of the finalized product version. Will mostly nurture and grow the existing clientele and relationships.
Education/Experience:
- College Degree or equivalent and 5-7 years of direct sales/account management experience in a Food Equipment manufacturing environment. An engineering background is a plus.
- Should have an engineering background or strong understanding, with ability to read blue prints, work with product design team.
- Work with Project team on developing prototypes, giving customer Demos of prototypes, getting back to project team with customizations on prototypes and then getting ready for mass production.
- Will work as an intermediary between the customer and engineering
- Will be required to visit the MFG. Plants, work with MFG. Team
- Should have prior experience working with expanding business with existing clientele
- Strong leadership qualities
