Title: Optical Technician
Location: Painted Post, NY
Duration: 12 Months
Description
- Working with a commercial measurement system to test the strength of glass.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail.
- 40-50% working in lab
- 30% getting samples to labs in SP
- 20-30% other administrative tasks
Your work will focus on:
- Stress profile metrology of ion - ion-strengthened glasses and glass ceramics using commercialized and non-commercialized measurement platforms.
- Material management (e.g. delivery, pick-up, etc.) of samples submitted for analysis to labs and assisting scientists with the execution of related experiments.
- You will work with members of the Gorilla Glass Commercial Technology and the Gorilla Glass Development teams.
- The ideal candidate will possess an intermediate-level technical understanding with rigorous implementation of standard procedures.
- Strong attention to detail will be very helpful as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize work activities.
- AAS - Chemistry, Optics, Chemical Engineering with 3 Years experience desired.
