Duties : Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines :
Communications :
- Covers the strategic and operational management and implementation of activities related to the conception, design, creation, development of Technology communications for diverse audiences, primarily with internal stakeholders and end-users.
- Oversees the processes and procedures associated with technical writing and editing Technology policies, process descriptions, end-user manuals, and any other technology end-user engagement artifacts.
- Collaborates with assigned technology functions & leadership to develop or edit Technology policies, technology process descriptions, end-user and manager communications (both tactical and strategic), end-user manuals, critical incident communications, knowledge base articles and reports.
- Formalizes and conducts various business partnership and end user surveys and communicate results Leads technology organizational objective planning, achievement monitoring and communication.
Technical Learning & Development :
Engages with leaders as well as technical staff throughout every phase of learning and development cycle (fostering L&D interest, skillset gap assessments, curriculum formation, skill building monitoring, etc.).Conducts needs analyses, designs and develops various technical learning solutions, which may include curricula, certification processes, performance support tools and job aids, instructor led training, web based training, blended learning programs, meeting facilitation, etc. Ideates and executes on various initiatives to drive learning culture including but not limited to lunch and learns, learning summits, digital learning channels, etc.Establishes measures to evaluate training effectiveness of training courses, materials and activities. Leads the development of plans to continuously improve design and delivery. Coordinates the evaluation, enhancement and maintenance of the full inventory of learning courses, materials, job aides and other related technical training resources for the business unit.Organizes and catalogs materials for effective, efficient and engaging use.May perform additional duties as assigned.Skills : Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Solid understanding of the technology function, its practices and operations; broad insurance industry experience a plus.Strong knowledge of learning design, instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, adult learning and blended learning theory and strategies, and the design and integration of online and other performance support tools into on-the-job use.Passionate about creating a continuous learning culture that recognizes and leverages the value of different learning styles, tools and techniques.Ability to communicate business knowledge and technical information clearly and succinctly.Ability to effectively interact, communicate, collaborate and build trusting partnerships with all levels of business partners within scope of responsibility, team and / or matrix environment.Strong written and verbal communication and an ability to build credibility quickly.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Demonstrated creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems.Excellent program and project management, organizing and planning skills.Ability to drive and achieve results, with proven record of accomplishment of managing multiple and shifting priorities.Strong computer skills including Microsoft office Suite and other business related software systems.Understanding of technical learning design, instructional methods and training techniques.Education : Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree, in a related discipline, or equivalent.Typically a minimum of five years of related work experience, and / or educational background in communications, learning and development.Required Skills : Computer Incident Response, Playbook Creation, Infosec, Documentation / Technical Writing, Problem Solving
