Tax Associate

DBMS is looking for an experienced Tax Associate to ensure the accurate filing of taxes. They handle everything from analyzing financial records and researching uncommon tax issues to completing forms on behalf of clients, allowing for exceptional service.

Job Duties

· Prepare federal and state tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for Individuals and all entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Fiduciary, Non-Profit, gift and multi-state)

· Prepares tax planning projections for individuals and entities’ estimated tax liability

· Organizing and analyzing clients’ financial information

· Corresponds and responds to IRS and State tax notices

· Establishing and updating client records

· Conducts research and prepares memorandums outlining findings and conclusions

· Develops new and existing client relationships and demonstrates knowledge of client businesses

Tax Associate Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required

· CPA or EA certification preferred, but not required

· Up to 2 years prior experience preparing various types of tax returns for individual, businesses and trusts with a CPA firm

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software, preferably Lacerte

Total Compensation:

· $56-70k guaranteed Overtime or Comp Time

· Lifetime Referral Commission Structure

· 401(k) Plan – Firm will match 1/2 of employee contribution up to 2%
