Overview
Divine Care Home Care Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals in the comfort of their home, and within the community. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and other needs by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Help clients with mobility and physical activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean living space for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior to appropriate staff.
- Support clients in social activities and community engagement.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Experience
- Previous experience working with the elderly or in a home care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and their families.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment for clients.
