What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Interim Human Resource Director position at DIVINE CONNECT CARE INC?
The Human Resource Director (HRD) will directly support all Human Resource Initiatives. The Human Resource Director reports directly to and is supervised by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Human Resource Director will be responsible for the overall supervision and management of all areas of Human Resources.
The Human Resource Director will oversee client budgeting, payroll/human resources billing, and personnel. Duties will also include assisting in developing recruitment strategies, implementing systems for managing staff benefits/time off, and hiring/onboarding new employees. The HRD is expected to assist in setting the tone for the entire organization, has a positive, cooperative work attitude and harmonious relationships with all staff members and persons supported. From employee relations to compliance issues, the HRD helps assist in ensuring that an organization runs smoothly. In addition to ensuring that services are provided in accordance with DCCI, county, state and federal requirements. The HRD will conduct tasks such as communicating with clients and engaging in personnel decisions. This position will assist in providing necessary services to maintain and develop Divine Connect Care, Inc. to ensure the vision and culture is kept at all times. Also, carrying out directions and instructions of supervisors in a positive, cooperative, and timely manner.
Responsibilities include ongoing review of DCCI staff personnel and all training to ensure they are up to date. The HRD will also be responsible for ensuring DCCI’s compliance with DC and Maryland when it comes to employment laws. Quality assurance of onboarding of new employees; team support with transition, planning and other HR duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Divine Connect Care policies in Maryland and DC, DDS, DDA, state, and federal compliance are being met at all times
- Interviewing, recruiting, and screening all oncoming staff
- Create and ensuring DCCI staff pool (at least 10 dsp staff and 3 program staff)
- Making sure new DCCI employees are trained on DCCI culture and standards
- Ensure all training standards are met and being conducted accordingly
- Ensure that staff personnel is up to date at all time
- Identify different aspects of dsp/manager duties to create data to develop training materials and methods to create elite staff.
- Creation of employment application materials and processes
- Organize and conduct new employee orientations
- Determining different trainings to improve staff development
- Creating different materials and methods to improve staff development
- Propose employment structures and systems for DCCI
- PCR preparation
- Ensure that key information regarding human resources processes or practices is communicated to management and staff in a timely manner
- Handles disciplinary processes as needed
- Other duties as assigned
General Responsibilities/Implementation:
- Coordinate and complete evaluation reports as needed for regulation compliance
- Develop trainings to assist in assuring compliance at all times
- Serve as the liaison to external personnel
- Troubleshoot during crisis intervention and ensure all incidents are reported and completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with compiling training books and ensure training is completed
- Ensure that employees are scheduled accordingly for shifts by program team and to avoid excessive use of overtime.
- Ensure that program/dsp staff understand and work toward fulfilling the mission of the agency.
- Assist in facilitating staff trainings and ensure they are completed as required.
