Dance Teacher

Full job description

Duties:
- Teach dance classes to students of various ages and skill levels

-Lead and help build dance program with organization
- Follow lesson plans and curriculum that align with the goals and objectives of the dance studio
- Provide instruction in a variety of dance styles, such as hip hop, r&b, ballet, tap,Latin,modern,Jazz,and more
- Demonstrate proper technique and form to students
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and inclusive space for all dancers
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback on their performance
- Collaborate with other dance instructors and staff to coordinate performances and events

-Coordinate dance competitions internally to build skills

-Enter dance group in dance competitions externally

-Research opportunities for dance group to perform outside of studio

Some contracts are as high as $2000.00 ( This depends on the type of contract given and what your availability is )

Experience:
- Previous experience as a dance instructor or in a related field is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Passion for dance and a desire to inspire and motivate students

Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
