Divine Help Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a patient, tactful, cheerful disposition, and enthusiastic healthcare support professional. The ability as well as the willingness to handle difficult participants is a plus.
Duties:
· Assist participant with activities of daily living.
· Perform support tasks delegated by Supervisor in compliance with the Maryland DDA requirements.
· Assist with medication and medication reminders as needed.
· Ensure light housekeeping duties and chores are completed.
· Ensure safety of participant at all times.
· Staff will be required to utilize agency electronic systems for communication, progress notes, incident report filing.
· Ability to report and document incidents within the required timeframe.
· Check and respond to emails daily to maintain proper communication with program office.
· Driving and community interaction is required. This may include, and is not limited to, attending various events, or activities.
· Other duties as assigned by the Operations Director.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. A minimum of two years of experience working with developmental disability program participant or long-term care population is preferred.
2. Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma, or equivalent.
Specific Requirements:
1. Pass a criminal background investigation and any other required background checks and verifications.
2. Must have own reliable transportation that is safe, smoke-free, with adequate insurance coverage and a valid driver's license.
3. Current first aid and CPR certification
4. Successful completion of the DDA required trainings outlined by DDA within 60 days of hire.
5. Possess current Bloodborne Pathogen, MANDT Certification, Incident Reporting, and Seizure Management.
6. CMT certification is a must.
7. Conduct self in a professional manner at all times when interacting with individual, neighbors, parents, advocates, consultants, and regulatory personnel.
