**Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with various needs. This role is an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others while working in a dynamic and rewarding environment. **Duties:** - Provide one-on-one support to individuals in their homes, focusing on their daily living needs, personal care, and overall well-being. - Assist with meal preparation, including planning and preparing meals that cater to individual dietary needs and preferences. - Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, to ensure overall health and wellness. - Offer support with hospice care, including managing pain and providing emotional support to individuals and their families. - Provide patient care that is tailored to the individual's unique needs, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing first aid when necessary. - Assist with household chores, including laundry, cleaning, and meal cleanup. - Work effectively with individuals with autism, providing a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters independence and confidence. - Lift and move heavy objects, including furniture and equipment, as needed. - Provide support with home care, including managing medications, providing personal care, and assisting with mobility. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Previous experience in direct care, preferably with individuals with autism or other disabilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks. - First aid certification preferred. - Experience with meal preparation and hospice care is a plus. **Skills:** - Care - Meal preparation - Vital signs - Hospice care - Patient care - Working with people with autism - ADLs - First aid - Heavy lifting - Home care
