What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Mental Health Professional position at Divine Intervention Rehabilitation LLC?
Purpose: The Licensed Mental Health Professional provides the leadership and strategic planning of the clinical services programs offered at the facility; ensuring programs meet the needs of the community and the facility’s performance goals and objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the overall administrative process and management systems for all clinical services offered at the facility, promotion and maintenance of a therapeutic environment, and development and implementation of clinical treatment programs.
Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited institution with a Master’s Degree in mental health-related field and is licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana by the applicable professional board of examiners. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and/or (LPC) preferred. Minimum of five (5) years direct clinical practice; three (3) years prior satisfactory supervisory and administrative experience is desirable but not required.
General Responsibilities: The Licensed Mental Health Professional is responsible for clinical services and supervision of all licensed and non-licensed staff, including, but not limited to:
- Provides and supervises those who provide, direct and indirect social work services in accordance with the Medical Director's plan of treatment.
- Conducts assessments and reassessments
- Counsels and communicates to patients/families/primary caregivers and community stakeholders on issues concerning the facilitation of the plan of treatment.
- Develops and supervises staff that provide community-based services.
- Develops discharge plan in conjunction with multidisciplinary clinical team, patient and family/caregiver.
- Develops, prepares and maintains individualized patient care progress records with accuracy, timeliness and according to policies, submits accurate documentation within 24-48 hours.
- Assures clinical staff is documenting progress records in accordance with SMART goals and regulatory standards.
- Keeps abreast of social work and counseling trends and knowledge, obtains required annual continuing education in services.
- Compile the collection of data for the initial assessment and reassessments.
- Conduct, face-to-face interview with the recipient and their family/significant others during an initial assessment and reassessments.
- Provide DSM-V (or its successor) diagnoses, Axis I-V/ICD-10 codes.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Provide at least 10-15 hours of billable services per week.
- Notify the provider’s staff psychiatrist/medical psychologist of any significant change in a recipient’s physical or mental status.
- Request, and input prior Authorizations for Bayou Health members into Lauris Online.
- Provide all core services except medication management, unless qualified to do so.
- Review and approve Clinical Progress Notes on a daily basis.
- Ensure all Clinical Assessments, Reassessments, (Individualized Service Recovery Plan0( ISRPs), Transition Plans and Discharge Summaries are signed by all participants in Lauris Online.
- 24-hour on-call crisis support for clients/staff, as needed.
- Provide clinical reports on a monthly basis on productivity.
- Contact Bayou Health groups on status of client authorizations.
- Initiate or participates in meetings to ensure the effectiveness of client services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must pass a State Background Check and Drug Screening.
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
