Under the direction of the Director of Online Academic Learning Technology, the Audiovisual Technician & Production Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive management of audiovisual systems and productions. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining AV equipment for a variety of events, meetings, and productions. Key responsibilities include providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, coordinating AV needs, and managing media content. The position also encompasses planning and executing audiovisual projects, overseeing media studio usage, and ensuring high-quality post-production results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
AV Equipment Setup and Operation:
- Set up, test, and operate AV equipment including projectors, sound systems, lighting systems, live stream equipment, and video cameras.
- Ensure proper connections and functionality of AV systems for events and meetings.
- Operate AV equipment during live events, ensuring smooth and professional presentations.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of AV systems.
- Connecting, tuning, and configuring AV setups to ensure high-quality broadcasting and recordings.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV equipment.
- Coordinate repairs and replacements of faulty equipment.
- Provide on-site technical support during events and meetings.
Planning and Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate the technical aspects of audiovisual productions and events.
- Work with staff, faculty, and event organizers to understand their AV requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Manage schedules and timelines for AV setups and productions.
- Manage media studio scheduling and access.
Media Management and Post-Production:
- Editing and enhancing video and audio content to create high-quality final products.
- Managing and organizing media assets.
- Applying color correction, motion graphics, and effects.
- Collaborating with program directors and subject matter experts.
- Maintaining technical proficiency in post-production software and workflows.
Project Management:
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans and timelines.
- Monitoring project progress and adjusting plans as needed.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of AV equipment inventory and maintenance.
- Develop and update technical documentation and user guides.
Requirements
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's or Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Minimum of 2 year(s) of relevant experience required.Proficiency and Communication:
- Proficiency in English.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to take ownership of issues, work independently or escalate as needed, and find creative ways to resolve problems.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating a variety of AV equipment including projectors, sound systems, lighting systems, live stream equipment, and video cameras.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues quickly.
- Familiarity with video editing software and production tools, specifically Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Experience with audio quality improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of color correction and grading techniques.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation using software like Adobe After Effects.
- Familiarity with video compression and encoding for various platforms and formats.
- Understanding of the complete post-production workflow, including media management, editing, sound design, and final output.
- Graphic design familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are preferred.
- Experience with AV systems integration and programming.
- Knowledge of current AV trends and technologies.
Certification and Experience:
- Certification in AV technology (e.g., CTS, AVIXA) or equivalent audiovisual work experience.
- Success working within an office environment and collaborating with a broad spectrum of internal customers.
Physical and Work Conditions:
- Must be able to lift and move AV equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work may involve standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Occasional travel to different locations for events may be required.
Job may require after normal business hour support as well as possible weekends
Ability to pass a background check and authorization to work in the US are required
