We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of family law matters from start to finish, working under the close supervision of the Managing Attorney. Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze legal rights and provide advice to clients on family law matters.
- Draft legal documents and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct discovery, gather evidence, and prepare case materials.
- Prepare clients and cases for depositions and hearings.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances and mediation.
- Work with accountants and valuators regarding asset and property division, and separation of business interests.
- Communicate clearly and sensitively with clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the process.
- Manage deadlines and track the progress of assigned cases, ensuring timely and efficient case management.
- Perform tasks that contribute to the goals and objectives of the firm.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex legal arguments clearly and convincingly.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence in case management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
Education and Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.M. degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in California.
