Seeking an experienced and driven Senior Engineering Project Manager. In this role, you will organize, track, and lead the design and development of assigned products. Leveraging advanced knowledge of project management and product development best practices, you will manage multiple, complex, and high-risk projects to ensure new products meet specifications, timelines, and budget requirements.

Education and Experience Required

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, managing projects, objectives, costs, timelines, and resources in a cross-functional environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Technical Expertise: Advanced technical knowledge and design experience in core competency technologies related to similar product lines.
• Project Management: Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional teams and high-risk projects to successful completion. Strong experience in managing schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to direct and guide a team, while working cooperatively within the organization s culture to achieve project goals.
• Ownership & Accountability: Strong ability to take ownership of projects, manage shifting priorities, and motivate teams to deliver high-quality designs on time.
• Problem Solving: Proactive management and expert-level troubleshooting skills to overcome challenges and keep projects on track.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for project documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and presenting progress reports to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced program managers, providing guidance on best practices, problem resolution, and project management.
• Project Planning & Scheduling: Review project plans and proposals, develop project objectives in collaboration with management, and determine project responsibilities by breaking down the project phases.
• Resource Allocation & Collaboration: Partner with marketing and engineering management to allocate resources, and manage both internal and external technical teams required for successful project completion.
• Budget & Cost Management: Monitor product costs, capital spending, and proactively manage the project budget. Recommend actions and solutions if the project exceeds budget.
• Project Execution & Risk Management: Control and monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and drive the decision process to ensure timely and successful project completion.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, prepare and present project status reports, and suggest corrective actions to improve project outcomes.
• Product Testing & Transfer to Production: Develop design qualification, field testing, and production testing plans, and work with production/operations to transition new products to production.
• Training & Support: Conduct training for customer service personnel on new products and evaluate the overall success of completed projects, recommending process improvements.
