This includes recommendations for acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Epic Research Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle in an ambulatory and/or inpatient setting. It will be the PMs responsibility to effectively communicate project health across to various levels within the organization and will need to understand and know when it is appropriate to escalate issues to management.

Role Description

Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the program and project schedule life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design, testing and implementation phases for the project
- Planning – creates and manages all components of the initiation phase; including but not limited to project kickoff, stakeholder identification and analysis, risk assessment, schedule creation, budget creation, and resource identification
- Project Execution (Design, Build, Test/Train, Go Live) – manages all components and deliverables of project execution including but not limited to solution design, implementation, test planning and execution, training planning and execution, cutover and go live
- Provide effective status budget planning, resource procurement, status reporting, meeting planning/facilitation, risk mitigation and conflict resolution
- Develops and maintains the project management plans including risk management plan, communications plan, change management plan, test plans etc.; identifies any potential project dependencies
- Drives resolution of all project risks, action items, status reporting, scope and schedule, financial and budget establishment and reporting, meeting facilitation, vendor engagement, change management, and project resources. Helps to drive overall governance of projects
- Manages relationship with third parties
- Project Closure – manages all components of project closure including production turnover, lessons learned, and overall close out
- Epic Research Certification is required
- 5 years of project leadership experience on Epic projects
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- Experience using Agile/Waterfall methodologies
- Formal project management certification (PMP) preferred
- Formal process improvement certification – ex: Lean Six Sigma or ITIL preferred
- Deep experience in managing Epic Research
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
