Landscape Architecture AutoCAD Technician

Overall:

Our Longwood, FL-based landscape architecture firm seeks a skilled and self-motivated Drafter / AutoCAD Technician. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD 2023. This person must be detail-oriented and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain base files with external references and in-house linework.
• Produce accurate construction documents for landscape and hardscape designs.
• Must be able to work with multiple Project Managers and manage time effectively.
• Continue on-going process of plan revisions to all customized plans as necessary to meet Client requests.
• Maintain accurate records of revised construction details.
• Maintain current DWG files of customized plans for printing as required.
• Collaborate with other members of the team by following CAD department policies and procedures in an effort to produce the highest quality and most efficient construction documents.
• Must be able to multitask and complete scheduled work within designated timelines.

Education Requirements:

• Associate’s or technical degree in drafting

Experience / Skills Required:

• 3 years of experience
• Ability to professionally represent the firm in interactions with employees and vendors
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2023
• Proficient in MS Office (Teams and Outlook)
• Effective time management practices

Experience Preferred:

• Experience with landscape and hardscape design
• Knowledge of other tools, including: LandFX, Revit, Adobe Suite and Sketchup
