What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steel Estimator/Sales position at Dixie Metal Products, Inc.?
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. Ideal candidate will be proficient in review of metal technical specifications, details, and contract language.
Duties :
Responsible for sales / estimating and negotiating infrastructure projects in Southeast United States. Projects are Misc Metals and Structural Steel. Candidate will generate sales leads, consult with general contractors and customers for infrastructure, municipal, and industrial projects, create quotes for review of construction drawings and specifications for bid, detailed material take-offs, obtaining and pricing projects for small structural steel and misc metals such as stairs, railings, ladders, grating, access platforms, etc.
Experience :
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
