POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will support our team in educating and engaging our members and the public by focusing on executing communication strategies through social media, video, radio, print, and other channels to share cooperative-specific information, programs, and events. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about community engagement and communication.
PARTIAL LIST OF QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- College degree or working towards one in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or Marketing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite applications for video editing, graphic design, and digital content creation. Specifically, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.
- Experience working with GSuite for collaboration and productivity.
- Basic knowledge of frontend web development and coding principles to support website functionality and user experience.
- Proficiency in social media management, website content updates, and digital marketing is preferred. Be prepared with examples.
- Photography and audio/video production are desirable. Provide samples of previous work.
- Experience with event planning and community outreach is a plus.
- Creativity, initiative, good judgment, polished grammar, logic, a broad range of knowledge, self‑motivation, perseverance and the ability to express thoughts clearly and simply are essential.

PARTIAL LIST OF EXPECTATIONS:
- Assist in creating and implementing member education campaigns via social media, newsletters, website updates, video, and print materials.
- Maintain and update the company website, intranet, employee app, and social media platforms with relevant content.
- Coordinate logistics for community events and annual member district meetings.
- Assist in the development of public relations, advertising plans, and budgets.
- Assisted with internal and external communications with the public, members, and employees.
- Provide administrative support, use discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule when communication needs, or events happen outside of normal work hours. Both office work and outdoor activities are required.
