Job Description
Title: Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director or Designee
Grade Levels Served: Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th Grade
Job Overview
The MTSS Coordinator will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework at Dixon Montessori Charter School . This individual will oversee and coordinate the Student Support Team (SST) process, facilitate data-driven decision-making for intervention supports, and ensure equitable access to academic, behavioral, and social-emotional resources. The ideal candidate will foster collaboration among educators, families, and external partners to support the success of all students.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Coordination

Serve as the primary leader and facilitator for the school’s MTSS framework, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and goals.

Lead the SST process, facilitating meetings to develop, implement, and monitor individualized student support plans.

Coordinate and guide data team meetings to analyze student progress and identify trends in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes.

Develop and deliver professional development on MTSS-related topics, including intervention strategies, progress monitoring, and data analysis.

Lead and coordinate all assessment and benchmark testing activities.
Data-Driven Decision-Making

Oversee the collection, analysis, and use of data to identify students in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.

Monitor the effectiveness of interventions using research-based progress-monitoring tools and make adjustments as needed.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of interventions, assessments, and student progress.
Intervention Systems

Collaborate with teachers to design and implement tiered interventions for students in need of additional academic or behavioral support.

Coordinate intervention programs and resources to ensure they are evidence-based and meet the needs of the student population.

Provide coaching and support to staff in implementing interventions with fidelity.
Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure seamless integration of MTSS practices.

Communicate with families regarding student progress, interventions, and resources available to support student success.

Partner with community agencies and organizations to provide additional resources and support services for students.
Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Valid teaching credential or equivalent certification.

Minimum of three years of experience in education, preferably in a TK-8 setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of the MTSS framework, including Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 supports.

Experience leading data teams and facilitating SST processes.

Proficient in the use of student information systems, data analysis tools, and intervention tracking platforms.

Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, families, and staff.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
