What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Coordinator (2nd Shift) position at Dixon Opportunities?
Overtime and weekend work may be occasionally required, based on the needs of the business.
Essential Functions:
• Process all assigned inventory, traffic, and shipping activity through the information system to assure timely and accurate inventory and shipment information.
• Print labels for off line operations, workshops, and other applications as required.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of blank labels.
• Design & set-up labels as required.
• Maintain & improve the database for labels.
• Route labels to appropriate printers and machines.
• Process all inbound receiving documents for non-inventory items within SAP.
• Assist with processing inbound receiving documents for inventory items within SAP.
• Assist with managing supplies inventories and triggering re-order requests.
• Provide oversight, guidance, and quality assurance to the off line production areas.
• Act as a back-up to cover responsibilities of other distribution/traffic staff, as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Desirable relevant work experience includes warehouse administration (Receiving, Picking, Packing, and Shipping).
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written including the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficient skill of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with a tier 1 ERP System, SAP experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, supply chain management/ logistics or equivalent work experience is required.
• Must have 3 – 5 years prior experience in distribution environment.
Working Conditions:
• The employee may experience variable working conditions in the work environment. Examples include, but are not limited to, temperature variations, dust, noise, and exposure to moving mechanical parts.
