What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Help - Distribution/Manufacturing position at Dixon Opportunities?
Dixon Ticonderoga Company is seeking students for Seasonal Help positions. These positions will be located at our production and distribution facilities located in Appleton and Neenah, Wisconsin. Students who are interested in applying must be 18 years of age.
Dixon was founded is a leading North American supplier of Art and Education products, serving School and Retail Markets. Dixon is headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Pay starts at $19 per hour!
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work first, second, or third shift hours (no swing shifts).
- Ability to work 40 or more hours per week. The ability to work overtime hours is required.
- Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and problem solve.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computerized equipment.
- Comfortable working with and near heavy machinery in a production setting.
- Comfortable working with forklifts and other related lift equipment in a distribution setting.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds on a moderate basis.
- Previous experience in a production or distribution environment is beneficial.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
- The employee may experience variable working conditions in the work environment. Examples include, but are not limited to, temperature variations, dust, noise, and exposure to moving mechanical parts.
