JOB SUMMARY :
The Dixon Boss Division is seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Chestertown, Maryland. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a passion for designing high-quality components and assemblies.
As a CAD Designer, you will utilize SOLIDWORKS to create innovative designs for couplings, machines, and related components. You’ll play a key role in preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and material estimates, ensuring that each design meets both functionality and quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Creates and revises 3D models and detailed drawings using Solidworks.
- Collaborates and communicates with engineers.
- Assists design personnel in layout and content of drawings.
- Coordinate proper creation of item type, manufacturability and bill of material.
- Self-check completed assignments and cross check co-workers completed assignments.
- Collaborates with manufacturing personnel to ensure manufacturability of product.
- Selects materials and calculates weights and volumes.
- Support standard product and perform special customer project work.
