What are the responsibilities and job description for the DJ Trivia Host position at DJ Trivia / DJ Bingo NWMI?
DJ Trivia is looking for a Trivia Host to join our team in Boyne City, Bellaire, Central Lake and Elk Rapids, Candidates do not have to be available in all areas. This person will be responsible for facilitating a 2 hour DJ Trivia and/or DJ Bingo night on a weekly basis at a venue.
We are looking for candidates who are responsible, self-motivated, punctual, and personable. Those who can successfully multitask, promote on social media, and handle a crowd are ideal. If you love Trivia, the pursuit of knowledge, or learning new things, you’re our kind of people!
This is a part time job to supplement your primary income. This is a way to make a few bucks and meet people while having fun. Not just a Job. It doesn't feel like work to me but I am a extrovert and am very boisterous. Who ever said you can't make money and have fun has never hosted DJ Trivia!
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Communication - Read trivia questions and answers clearly and effectively. Provide rules to Trivia teams. Notify teams of any relevant announcements.
- Performance - Interact and build a relationship with Trivia teams. Read the room and entertain the crowd.
- Multitasking - Keep score in the provided Excel scoresheet. Play music in-between questions using your own laptop and playlist. Answer questions from Trivia teams.
- Preparation - Print off materials (gamesheets and final question sheets) prior to show. Test audio equipment ahead of time to ensure functionality.
- Equipment Setup - Manage and set up audio equipment (provided by the company along with instructions and training).
- Troubleshooting - Handle potential discrepancies with grace and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute a reasonable distance
- Excellent verbal reading and communication skills
- Exemplary time-management skills
- Evening availability
- Shows are generally Sunday through Thursday in the evening, with most shows starting between 6pm and 9pm.
- One show a week is required, but we prefer that you are able to host more if you can.
- Prior performance or hosting experience is preferred, but not required
- Pay: $50-$65 per show hosted
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
