Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the deli area, and operate the cash register efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and serve deli products, including meats, cheeses, and salads, with attention to presentation and quality.
- Assist customers by answering questions about products and making recommendations based on their preferences.
- Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately, including handling cash transactions and processing payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during peak hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and basic food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management are essential.
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar cash register systems is advantageous.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service is required.
